3,000 OneSchool Primary Students Join Together for Reading Week

Over the past week, over 3,000 OneSchool Primary Students joined together for Reading Week.

“Our inaugural Primary Reading week was a fantastic opportunity for every single Primary Student in OneSchool Global to work together to celebrate something really important… Reading!”, said Rachel Beyer, OneSchool Global’s Director of Studies (Primary) for Europe and the UK.

“While a celebration of reading is not unique to OneSchool Global, few schools would have 3,000 students from 120 campuses, across 20 countries taking part in such an event”.

Primary Students from The United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Europe and North America began the week with a special Assembly, presented to them by the Directors of Study for Primary from each of OneSchool Global’s five Regions. Following this, each day we shared stories from each Region, read by our Senior Leaders across OneSchool Global.

Parents were invited to participate in a Reading Webinar, emphasising the importance of reading and how this can contribute to our unique pedagogy and supporting the development of self-directed learners.

Our Students took part in a variety of challenges and activities, from visiting cartoonists to reading with their Senior Student Buddies.  We also took the opportunity to invite Grandparents, Parents and younger siblings onto the Campuses to share stories and join in with our Global Reading Week.

A unique and exciting event celebrated by a uniquely global school!
