Tom Percasky recognised as National Education Summit Leadership Award finalist

OneSchool Global (OSG) congratulates Tom Percasky, Regional Principal for Queensland, on being named one of just three national finalists in the Outstanding Leadership category at the 2026 National Education Summit Melbourne Teacher Awards. The recognition celebrates educational leaders who have demonstrated exceptional impact within their school communities and the broader profession.

Tom’s selection as a national finalist reflects a period of outstanding leadership across OneSchool Global’s Queensland campuses. In 2025, he simultaneously served as Campus Principal of Brisbane and Acting Principal of Toowoomba, delivering positive outcomes across two Queensland campuses. During this time, he helped strengthen student outcomes, build staff capability, and foster cultures of trust, growth and belonging. Following his success in these roles and a competitive recruitment process, Tom was appointed Regional Principal, where he now supports leadership and performance across four Queensland campuses.

As a finalist, the awards program recognised that a defining feature of Tom’s leadership has been his commitment to developing people. Across the campuses he has led, he has championed shared leadership, professional growth, and created environments where staff feel supported to contribute, lead and succeed. His leadership philosophy centres on building strong cultures first, recognising that positive outcomes for students are driven by empowered and engaged teams.

“I’m incredibly grateful to be recognised as a finalist, but I see it as a reflection of the outstanding people I’ve had the privilege to work alongside,” said Tom.

“Everything we achieve in schools is a team effort. The dedication of our staff, the commitment of our students, and the support of our families are what make progress possible.”

Regional Head of School Chris Van Niekerk said Tom’s selection as a national finalist was richly deserved.

“Being named one of only three finalists nationally is a wonderful achievement and a testament to Tom’s leadership,” said Chris.

“Tom leads with humility, builds strong relationships, and consistently empowers others to succeed. We are delighted to see his contribution recognised at this level and congratulate him on this outstanding accomplishment.”
