Five OneSchool Global educators recognised with prestigious teaching awards

Five exceptional OneSchool Global (OSG) educators were recognised at last week’s 2026 Teachers’ Guild of New South Wales Awards for their outstanding contributions to teaching excellence, student wellbeing and innovative learning.

The educators were honoured at the Teachers’ Guild of New South Wales Annual Dinner on Friday 30 October, celebrating their dedication to improving student outcomes, supporting professional development and creating engaging learning environments.

The five OneSchool Global educators recognised were:

  • Alison Brookes, Sydney campus: recognised for exceptional leadership and dedication to educational excellence, empowering teachers, improving student outcomes and fostering a culture of growth, collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Craig Lewis, Sydney campus: recognised for outstanding dedication to student wellbeing and learning support, developing innovative programs that equip students with the skills and confidence to achieve their full potential.
  • Andra Rensburg, Maitland campus: recognised for delivering exceptional educational outcomes through a technology-focused remote learning environment, helping multiple students achieve first-in-course results in HSC Financial Services.
  • Naomi Sloan, Leeton campus: recognised for championing new teaching strategies, initiatives and programs that have supported primary student growth and established a consistent teaching approach in her role as Regional Head of Department for Humanities.
  • Genevieve Fitzpatrick, Maryborough campus: recognised for her outstanding work as Digital Learning Coach, empowering staff and students through innovative learning experiences and personalised support.

Chris Van Niekerk, Regional Head of School at OneSchool Global Australia, said the recognition reflected the dedication and expertise of educators across the school’s Australian network.

“Having five of our educators recognised at the NSW Teachers’ Guild Awards is a tremendous achievement and a testament to the passion and commitment they bring to the classroom every day.

“From supporting student wellbeing and pioneering new approaches to digital learning, to helping students achieve outstanding academic results, each of these educators is making a meaningful difference in the lives of young people.

“We are incredibly proud of Alison, Craig, Andra, Naomi and Genevieve. Their achievements reflect our commitment to creating learning environments where both students and teachers are empowered to grow, innovate and reach their full potential.”

The recognition highlights the breadth of educational expertise across OneSchool Global, from leadership and student wellbeing to digital innovation, remote learning and curriculum development and extends the recognition from the NSW Teachers’ Guild in 2025.

This awards success also follows OneSchool Global receiving a 2026 Australian Good Design Award in the Service Design – Education Services category for its pioneering Learning to Learn Framework, further demonstrating its commitment to providing children with a toolbox to succeed beyond the learning environment.
