OneSchool Global recognsied at Australian Event Awards for international student nutrition event

OneSchool Global’s Australian-designed student wellbeing event, delivered in one day across 123 campuses in 20 countries, was recognised among the country’s leading corporate events at the 2026 Australian Event Awards.

OneSchool Global’s Mission Nutrition was named a national finalist for ‘Best Corporate Event’ at the 2026 Australian Event Awards. Winners were announced at the awards ceremony in Coffs Harbour, NSW on 21 October.

The recognition puts OSG’s Mission Nutrition event among Australia’s leading corporate events. The other finalists were major brands and specialist event companies.

Developed in partnership with dietitian Caitlin Edmonds and supported by OSG Ambassador, Australian SAS veteran and Survivor Australia winner, Mark Wales, Mission Nutrition transformed health education into a hands-on mission experience.

The screens were put away for the day and students used printed workbooks, activity cards and practical challenges to read food labels, question health marketing claims and work towards a final mission, with four superpower characters giving students a shared way to talk about nutrition: Build, Focus, Defend and Fuel.

Real change, on campus and at home

96% of students surveyed could name a healthy change they planned to make, and families are still seeing the results at home.

One primary student said: “It was the best day of school. Can we have more days like Mission Nutrition?” A Middle School student said: “I’m glad that we talked about food labels so much because they can be tricky.”

Families say the learning has continued at home. One parent said: “My four teenagers are still using what they learned to shape their choices.” A family microsite with fact sheets, habit trackers and food-label activities has kept the learning going since the event.

What the judges had to say

The judging panel called out the depth of planning for an event of this scale.“What an achievement! This looks like a fantastic program. You have demonstrated the amount of pre-logistics and comms that needed to happen to get all of these schools on board to deliver this program and the feedback statistics tell the story!”

“Management and degree of difficulty are outstanding for a coordinated simultaneous activation across 10 time zone… and genuinely impressive contingency planning.”

A global school community, working as one

Chris Van Niekerk, Regional Head of School for OneSchool Global Australia, said the recognition reflected the commitment of staff, students and families across the global network.

“Mission Nutrition demonstrated what can be achieved when a global school community comes together around a shared purpose. This recognition is a testament to the creativity, dedication and collaboration of our staff, and to the enthusiasm of students and families who embraced the initiative.”

“We know that healthy habits developed early can have a lasting impact and can further support individual learning styles. Mission Nutrition was designed to give students practical skills they can apply every day, and it has been encouraging to see families reporting positive changes at home months after the event.”

Congratulations and thank you to every Mission Leader, teacher, student and family who made Mission Nutrition happen. Relive the action of Mission Nutrition here:
