What underpins an SLT clothing drive at OneSchool Global?
Our values.
- Respect for quality clothing,
- Integrity to put unused items to good use,
- Care & Compassion for those in need,
- Responsibility to make a plan and
- Commitment to see it through.
In coordination with One School Global’s OneLook uniform program rollout, our Student Leadership Teams across North America mobilised a clothing drive to collect former uniform items for local charitable organisations.
Families, friends, students and staff were all encouraged to contribute and the results were tremendous!
All 36 campuses held clothing drives, plus our Regional Support Office, with over 2,500 items were donated, and 100% of donations landing in good hands.
The clothing drive’s success measures more than the weight of donated boxes, it’s a reminder that our student leaders are already making a difference.
One student remarked, “This clothing drive was awesome to participate in because it gives the whole school an opportunity to experience the spirit of giving and it upholds our values.”
Student Leadership Advisor, Leah Amin shared, “The SLT clothing drive was a student-led initiative that brought many people together, demonstrated a culture of generosity and provided student leadership another opportunity to create a positive impact both within and beyond the school community.”
Thank you to national organisations including Goodwill, Red Cross, the Salvation Army and local charities alike, that helped deliver our region-wide clothing drive.
On this National Make a Difference Day, let the lessons we learn from our student leaders inspire you to make a difference too!
