OneSchool Global Nambour (QLD) was delighted to welcome Nicklin MP Marty Hunt to campus recently, where he met with students, graduates and teachers to learn more about OSG’s student-directed approach to learning.
Mr Hunt was hosted by the Student Leadership Team, who led a tour of the campus and shared what life and learning at OSG looks like day to day. He also met 2025 Queensland State Dux Tiarni Parsons, hearing first-hand how the skills she developed at OSG are supporting her in the workforce.
A standout moment came when Mr Hunt met our primary students Sybelle, Ivy and Clarice, who have been studying government as part of a recent unit of work. The girls put a series of thoughtful questions to Mr Hunt about his role and the workings of parliament.
“I thank OneSchool Global for inviting me to its Nambour campus, and for demonstrating how OSG empowers its students to take the lead in their education, and embracing technology-led learning,” Mr Hunt said.
“The Student Leadership Team were excellent and articulate representatives for their campus, and I congratulate OSG on the work it is doing to ensure its students become lifelong learners, well-prepared for a life beyond school.”
OSG Nambour Principal Michael Knight thanked Mr Hunt for his visit and his interest in the campus community.
“It is a great opportunity for our students to learn about governmental structures and processes by meeting local representatives,” Mr Knight said. “We really believe in our Learning to Learn framework, and we appreciate that Mr Hunt has taken the time to see it in action.”
