Kim O’Keeffe MP and Mayor Shane Sali visit OneSchool Global Nathalia

OneSchool Global (OSG) Nathalia campus students and staff were excited to welcome Shepparton MP Kim O’Keeffe and Greater Shepparton Mayor Shane Sali to recognise OSG’s 2025 Dux for Victoria and tour our recently refurbished learning centre.

OSG Nathalia 2025 graduate Kalarni Phillips, who achieved an ATAR of 95.65, was presented with a certificate of recognition by Ms O’Keeffe MP at a special assembly.

Ms O’Keeffe MP said she welcomed the opportunity to learn about OSG’s innovative approach to student-directed learning.

“I was pleased to receive a letter earlier this year, informing me that OneSchool Global’s Victorian Dux for 2025 was Kalarni Phillips from Nathalia campus,” said Ms O’Keeffe.

“It was inspiring to talk with her and other students, some who I had met recently at the Seymour Alternative Farming Expo, and to learn how OSG empowers its students to take the lead in their education.”

Mayor Sali also thanked OSG for the opportunity to speak with students and tour the campus.

“School is a team effort of students, parents and teachers. It was a privilege to see this so strongly in action at OneSchool Global,” said Mayor Sali.

Following the assembly Ms O’Keeffe MP and Mayor Sali were taken on a student-led tour of Nathalia campus’ junior and senior learning centres. Students explained how they use the learning centre zones and how the space integrates with the OSG Learning to Learn framework.

Like other Dux’s of the school before her, our VIP visitors were particularly impressed to learn that during year twelve, all of Kalarni’s teachers were based on other OSG campuses. across Victoria. OneSchool’s unique approach sees learning transcend geographic boundaries, allowing students to participate in and teachers to deliver lessons via Zoom, ensuring access to specialist teaching regardless of location.

OSG Nathalia campus Acting Principal Darren Burn said it was an honour to welcome Ms O’Keeffe and Mayor Sali to the assembly.

“It is a great opportunity for our students to learn about governmental structures and processes by meeting local representatives,” said Mr Burn.

“We really believe in our Learning to Learn framework supports our students to deliver excellent results.

“We appreciate that Ms O’Keeffe and Mayor Sali have taken the time to tour the campus to see it in action.”
