Compassion in action: A look back at how our outreach programs across OSG made a difference this year

From the Pacific coast to the Caribbean, our students and staff at OneSchool Global (OSG) North America made an impact on those in need. From essential personal care items to tens of thousands of dollars in donations, the generosity was intentional and impactful.

At the heart of these efforts were our core values: Integrity, Respect, Responsibility, Care & Compassion, and Commitment; these values showed up in practical ways as students organised fundraisers, partnered with first responders, and reached out to support the elderly, the unhoused and families facing tough times.                                                                                                           

Our campuses connected with local police, hospitals, food banks, and charities like TruLight127 Ministries, the Salvation Army, HAVEN and Interlake Food Bank to see how best they could help those most in need. From lemonade stands to schoolwide donation drives, the collective impact shows what happens when students put compassion into motion.

“To have a school group come in or a community partner come in with donations means everything to us. It means that we can continue to offer services… It means that those in shelter and not in shelter are going to get the things that they need.”

– said Jennifer Porter, Director of Development and Marketing at HAVEN, a Detroit-based organisation supporting individuals and families in crisis.

Students from our Los Angeles campus in California, served hot meals to firefighters battling the Pacific Palisades wildfires. In Trinidad & Tobago, students donated supplies to Maracas RC Church families in need.

Our Rochester students in New York, provided US$2,700 worth of groceries to the Webster Community Chest Food Bank, helping keep shelves stocked through the winter.

In reality, this year’s report is more than numbers – it’s a snapshot of students learning what it means to care and turning that lesson into real-world impact.
