OneSchool Global Highly Commended in Global EdTech Awards
OneSchool Global (OSG) has received a Highly Commended recognition in the Best Use of EdTech in Schools and Further Education category at the 2026 ETIH Innovation Awards.
Every year, World Teachers’ Day provides another opportunity to pause and recognise the extraordinary contribution teachers make to students, families and communities around the world.
This year feels particularly significant. World Teachers’ Day 2026 marks the 60th anniversary of the landmark UNESCO and ILO Recommendation concerning the Status of Teachers, a global framework created to recognise the importance of teaching and to support the profession’s standing, working conditions and professional growth.
The theme, standing with teachers: 60 years of protecting the profession, advancing its status and shaping our futures, acknowledges a simple truth: while the world has changed dramatically since 1966, teachers remain at the heart of educational success. Today’s educators are helping young people navigate a rapidly changing world shaped by technology, artificial intelligence, global uncertainty and evolving workforce demands.
At OneSchool Global, we are fortunate to work alongside teachers who embrace that challenge every day.
As part of our ‘Experience the Joy of Teaching’ campaign this year, where we recognise what makes teaching so special, we also asked our teachers what makes teaching at OneSchool Global different. Their responses were powerful and consistent.
They spoke about supportive colleagues, strong mentoring and a genuine sense of community. They described motivated students who want to learn and classrooms where meaningful teaching can thrive. Most importantly, they spoke about rediscovering the reason they entered the profession in the first place.
Jo Brocherie from OSG’s Maungaturoto campus summed it up simply: “I’m a teacher again.”
Others reflected that OneSchool Global had given them “reinvigorated energy” for teaching and described the overwhelming support they had received. They also described the opportunity to flourish professionally because students are engaged, respectful and eager to learn.
These comments align closely with what UNESCO identifies as essential to the status of teachers: professional respect, supportive working environments, opportunities for growth and a recognition of the critical role teachers play in society.
Today, OneSchool Global extends our sincere thanks to teachers everywhere. Teaching demands expertise, patience, adaptability and an unwavering commitment to young people. The impact of that work reaches far beyond the classroom.
To our OneSchool Global teachers and support staff, thank you for the passion, care and professionalism you bring to your students every day.
Thank you for bringing the joy of teaching to life across our campuses.
And, perhaps the clearest evidence of what that means can be found in the words of the students who experience it every day.
Tamsin, a student from our Nyby Campus in Sweden, offered a simple but powerful insight into what makes OneSchool Global teachers so special:
“Our teachers here are very unique and they have special capabilities that are made for OneSchool and then we complement that and support them in that. So I think that’s why they feel happy here and they feel like they’ve found their place.”
Happy World Teachers’ Day 2026 to our educators and to all educators globally!
