The Role of the Learning Centre
The Learning Centre (LC) is the physical and cultural hub where the Learning to Learn Framework comes to life. It is a cutting-edge, open-plan environment designed to support self-directed learning and collaboration. Students use the Learning Centre primarily for their Study periods, but also for certain Lesson activities and Virtual Class (VC) sessions.
Learning Centre Zones
To cater to diverse learning needs, the LC is divided into distinct zones:
- Focused Zone: Quiet spaces for individual, concentrated work.
- Semi-Collaborative Zone: Areas for pairs or small groups to work together with low-level discussion.
- Collaborative Zone: Spaces for group projects, discussions, and intensive collaboration.
- Studios: Purpose-built for direct instruction and hybrid learning.
