Our progressive teaching philosophy

At OneSchool Global, our Learning to Learn Framework is a self-directed learning philosophy, based on international research and best practice, that enables students to take ownership of their learning. We encourage critical thinking and independent learning, and embed problem-solving skills to prepare students to adapt and succeed in a rapidly changing world. Not only does our student-centred model of education create an engaging and empowering learning environment, we believe that it sets the standard for modern education, and it is increasingly recognised as such.

A more supportive environment

OneSchool is committed to nurturing teachers to become ‘leaders of learning’ through professional development programs and leadership opportunities. Our Teacher Academy provides onboarding support, training, resources and global collaboration that will help you excel in your role, and our supportive leadership and culture ensures that every teacher feels valued and equipped to inspire their students.

Inside the Teacher Academy

The Teacher Academy is OneSchool Global’s internal teaching faculty providing training, networking, and support for all teachers. New teachers undergo a globally consistent induction program, followed by mentorship from experienced teachers. Throughout the year, there are multiple professional development sessions, both in-person and via Zoom, covering topics like real-world applications of the Learning to Learn Framework. The Teacher Academy is a key part of how our teachers ‘rediscover the joy of teaching’.

Smaller classes with less behaviour to manage

With smaller class sizes, teachers at OneSchool can provide more attention and support to each student, enhancing learning outcomes and also reducing the time spent on behaviour management. This, combined with our self-motivated students, means our teachers are able to fully focus on being the best teachers they can be.

Fully contemporary classrooms

OneSchool’s classrooms are modern learning environments equipped with state-of-the-art technology. From video conferencing facilities to individual student laptops, our schools provide the tools necessary for a fully contemporary educational experience. This supports our Learning to Learn Framework and ensures that students are well-prepared for the digital world we all live in.

OneSchool Global’s values of integrity, care, respect, responsibility, and commitment are at the core of everything we do. These values, inspired by Christian teachings, are universal and shared by educators and students from all backgrounds. By fostering a culture driven by these values, we create the positive and inclusive conditions required for everyone to thrive.

The Plymouth Brethren Christian Church

OneSchool Global is an independent network of schools attended by families of the Plymouth Brethren Christian Church. While originally established by members of the Church and underpinned by a Christian ethos, the school is not a religious institution and is not owned or operated by the Church.

The Plymouth Brethren Christian Church Community has over 55,000 members across Australia, New Zealand, Europe, the Americas and the UK.

Members of the Church are deeply family-oriented and live, work and pray as ‘Brethren’ – a community of families held together by common Christian beliefs. There is a strong charitable spirit among the Church Community, with many devoting their time to philanthropic efforts, particularly through the work of the charity, Rapid Relief Team (RRT).
