OneSchool Global named #1 Government and Non-Profit Inspiring Workplace in Australasia

OneSchool Global (OSG) ranks 14th in the 2026 Top 40 Inspiring Workplaces in Australasia and takes top spot in its category

OSG has been named the #1 Government & Non-Profit Organisation in the 2026 Inspiring Workplaces Awards for Australasia – and ranked 14th overall in the prestigious Top 40 list, alongside organisations including Douglas Pharmaceuticals, Flight Centre and Hungry Jack’s.

Run by the Inspiring Workplaces Group, the awards recognise organisations building “PeopleFirst” cultures founded on trust, purpose and belonging. Entrants are assessed through a rigorous written submission and independent judging across six elements: Culture & Purpose, Leadership, Wellbeing, Inclusion & Belonging, Employee Voice and Employee Experience.

This recognition builds on a strong 2025, when two of our leaders – Mary Baxter and Julie Murray – were celebrated as Inspiring Leaders, and a range of other awards over the last 12 months – reflecting a year of deliberate investment in our people.

What we were recognised for

  • Global Teacher Academy (GTA) – professional development for our teaching staff built into the contracted school week.
  • Global Kudos program – peer-to-peer recognition that makes gratitude visible, with more than 8,400 Kudos messages shared across Australasia in 2025.
  • OSG Persona Program – our 360-degree feedback framework, giving staff multi-source input from leaders, peers, students and parents.
  • OneSurvey – our annual global engagement survey that gives staff, parents and students a genuine voice, with results feeding directly into strategic planning.
  • Staff work-life balance and career pathways – no compulsory after-school or weekend commitments for our teaching staff, and 26 internal promotions across Australasian in 2025.
  • Community-building initiatives like Perfect Pitch that brings our whole school community together across borders.

Together, these efforts have helped lift staff engagement to 86% and reduce permanent staff attrition by more than 21% in a single year.

“This award belongs to each one of our 2,000-strong workforce across the globe,” said Ashley Woolnough, Global Head of People and Culture.

“Culture isn’t something you hand down from head office. It’s built by people who treat each other with respect, recognise one another, and show up – in big ways and small – every single day.

“To be named the #1 Government & Non-Profit Inspiring Workplace in Australasia is a reflection of who our people are, and we couldn’t be prouder.”

As OSG continues its 2025–2030 Strategic Plan, the focus remains on strengthening one global community – keeping our people at the heart of every decision we make.
