When Salima left the finance sector after several years in managerial accounting and financial analysis, she wasn’t looking for a dramatic career reinvention. She simply wanted work with a more human dimension. “I have always enjoyed explaining, supporting, and helping others to progress,” she says – a realisation that gradually drew her toward teaching.

Her first role at OneSchool Global Paris was part‑time, teaching IT and guiding students through the practical tools they would one day rely on in the workplace. Excel, she notes, quickly became a cornerstone of her lessons. At the same time, she taught business in the public sector, gradually building the experience that would shape her next steps.

Over time, she joined OneSchool Global full‑time as a business teacher, a move that allowed her to connect her decade in industry with the classroom. “I can share real‑life situations and give meaning to the concepts covered in class,” she explains. Seven years later, she was invited to take on the role of Campus Principal – a transition she describes as steady rather than sudden. She continues to teach a few hours each week, calling it “an essential link that allows me to stay connected to the students and to the reality of classroom practice.”

What she values most in her work is this balance. Teaching remains a source of energy, while leading the campus gives her the scope to support staff, refine systems, and ensure students have what they need to succeed. No two days look the same, and that variety, she says, is part of what keeps the role compelling.

“I have been able to progress from part‑time teacher to Campus Principal,” she reflects, “while continuing to do what I love: supporting students and contributing to their success.”

Looking ahead, 2026 marks a significant milestone: the opening of the new campus later this year. She speaks of the year as one of consolidation – of team cohesion, campus development, and continued support for students.

Her professional foundations remain rooted in the Paris region, where she studied finance with the intention of becoming a chartered accountant. She completed the DECF before moving into managerial accounting, eventually becoming a management controller. The skills she developed there – analysis, structure, clarity – now underpin her work in education, shaping both her teaching and her leadership.
