Celebrating creativity and innovation through the Eureka! Expo

The wheel, the lightbulb, telephones, airplanes and yes, even the internet all have something in common. At one point they were an idea until, Eureka! they became a reality.

During a recent Pathway Project across North America, OneSchool Global Primary students learned all about inspiring inventors and the fortitude needed to transform an idea into a reality.

Their mission? To create something new that helps others or makes life better. Fueled by the opportunity to solve a problem, invention prototypes were developed, refined, and refined some more until persistence paid off. Students reached into their persuasive toolbox to convince audience members why their idea mattered. In addition to building their visual aids and prototypes, students worked diligently to develop stories to support the ‘why’ behind their innovations.

Featured at their local Eureka! Expo, our Primary students showcased life-ready skills and presented their invention to peers, teachers, and special guests.

Local audiences were wowed by our students’ professionalism and confidence. Congratulations on a job well done – perhaps we’ll see some of these at the patent office one day!

Enjoy this look at our students’ innovations and persuasive storytelling in action.
