The Illawarra Campus is located in Darkes Forest, nestled amongst dense bushland and surrounded by a number of rural properties, just north of Wollongong in NSW. Due to our rural location, we have the luxury of wide, open spaces that caters to our expansions as we grow.
The Learning Centre is the hub of our campus and is a hive of activity for the majority of each school day. Our newly renovated Tech Block contains our Science Lab, Food Tech, Design Tech and MakerSpace rooms. Primary building features an open-space learning environment and a number of studios for a variety of needs.
We have a large array of technology and resources to offer students at OSG. This includes a fully-equipped Maker Space for Creative Arts and Design Technology, including 3D printing facilities. Students have access to sporting grounds on campus and close by, as well as multiple undercover play spaces. Staff enjoy a separate common space and staffroom with sit-stand desks and meeting rooms. We also have a functioning greenhouse, independent water supply and solar panels, helping the environment as students learn.
We provide a welcoming and safe environment for students, staff and visitors. Our teachers encourage their students in their educational pursuits by guiding them through personal growth goals. Student and staff well-being are part of our everyday activities. Staff and Students collaborate on numerous projects that enhance our campus and contribute to the continuous improvement of our learning environment. Our teaching staff are jointly committed to helping our students progress, grow and achieve their goals, our Admin team contribute to the smooth running of the day, and our Maintenance staff ensure that our campus is safe and presentable. We have many volunteers fulfil a number of roles and we certainly would not function without them.
Being part of a great team is the secret of our success! The Illawarra Team is multicultural, energetic and encouraging.
At our School, students are encouraged to develop their full potential and acquire the discipline of ‘learning how to learn’, while upholding fundamental Christian teachings and beliefs, especially those of purity, integrity and godliness. The truth and authority of the Holy Bible and strong family values underpin the commitment of the School to provide quality in every facet of education – curriculum, teachers, facilities, management and discipline – in a safe, secure and caring environment.
