OSGAccelerate FAQs for Parents

Parent FAQ

I have a student who graduated in prior years, will they still receive the full debenture?
Yes, the debenture will be offered for each year of CAP the student successfully completed. If your student completed two years of CAP, they will receive the full debenture; if one year of CAP, half the debenture.

My student hasn’t finished all their workplacement hours, is that an issue? (AU only)
Students need to complete the required workplacement hours to successfully compete the CAP course in order to receive the debenture.

The CAP fee subsidy was critical for balancing our finances. Is there any additional support with OSGAccelerate?
There is no fee subsidy attached to OSGAccelerate, however fee relief is still available through the standard channels.

How will the application/enrolment process work for OSGAccelerate?
Students will be enrolled by default, same as any other core subject. More info will be provided in the new year.

My student requires learning support. Will they be able to do OSGAccelerate?
OSGAccelerate is structured to be able to include as many students as possible including students with learning difficulties. This can be discussed further in the new year with your CP or OSGAccelerate teacher
