Hastings

The Hastings Campus serves both the Hastings and Napier communities in a modern, purpose-built facility. The campus has a roll of 115 students from Year 3 to 13 and employs eight full-time teachers, support staff, and five part-time teacher aides to assist with student learning. A major emphasis is placed on the individual student reaching his/her full potential. Innovative approaches to learning are encouraged within OneSchool Global and so Self-Directed Learning is achieved via a mixture of face to face and zoom classes for senior students. Two Learning Centres have been established in the senior school to provide students with state of the art learning opportunities under teacher supervision. Comprehensive Learning support is offered for students in need so that every student is carefully monitored and extended to reach their potential.

On-going professional learning is valued at OneSchool Global, with weekly Professional Learning and Development sessions taking place each Wednesday afternoon. Students finish early to allow for this. We welcome enquiries from professionals seeking employment in our unique culture.

“We are a caring school where students enjoy the experience but at the same time we set high expectations. We believe in creating a culture whereby students can learn to be successful, self-directed learners.”

Opportunities also exist for teachers who are interested in taking up the challenge of teaching by video conferencing either full or part time in their area of expertise. The success of every school largely hinges on the co-operation, communication and cohesion of all its members and Hastings Campus boasts a large number of voluntary support personnel, in the form of librarians, canteen workers, bus drivers, caretakers and teacher aides.

Our Ethos

At our School, students are encouraged to develop their full potential and acquire the discipline of ‘learning how to learn’, while upholding fundamental Christian teachings and beliefs, especially those of purity, integrity and godliness. The truth and authority of the Holy Bible and strong family values underpin the commitment of the School to provide quality in every facet of education – curriculum, teachers, facilities, management and discipline – in a safe, secure and caring environment.
