Auckland

Our campus is conveniently and securely located in one of the more established areas of Auckland with easy access to motorways and main arterial routes.

Located amongst beautiful green rolling hills, it’s no surprise that Auckland is rated as one of the world’s top 10 most liveable cities. Surrounded by beautiful beaches and marinas, Auckland is fondly known as the ‘City of Sails’. Although Auckland is the largest city in New Zealand, beautiful vineyards, farmlands and rugged coastlines are accessible within just minutes. This all creates wonderful opportunities for us to conduct educational trips and other exciting learning experiences.

Over the past few years some of the traditional classes have been modified into open learning environments to create learning environments that meet the demands of the 21st century. Well-developed remote learning practices as well as self-directed learning practices enable teachers and students to use technology effectively in delivering and receiving learning material.

Specialist teaching venues such as a Science laboratory and cooking room are available to students, providing for fantastic practical lessons on site. Auckland campus offers a Football field, Volleyball court and various Netball courts for students to utilise.

All families and students are made to feel welcome and there is a close working relationship between the parent community and the staff, with regular face-to-face contact. Parent engagement evenings are held termly where information is shared and any concerns from parents can be raised in a safe environment.

“We are a caring school where students enjoy the experience but at the same time we set high expectations. We believe in creating a culture whereby students can learn to be successful, self-directed learners.”

Opportunities also exist for teachers who are interested in taking up the challenge of teaching by video conferencing either full or part time in their area of expertise. The success of every school largely hinges on the co-operation, communication and cohesion of all its members and Auckland Campus boasts a large number of voluntary support personnel, in the form of librarians, canteen workers, bus drivers, caretakers and teacher aides.
